Opening day

Apparently blogging is the current thing to do these days, so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon and sign up.

April 2nd, 2007. Opening day. For both my blog, and my favorite team. The Red Sox are in Kansas City today to start a three game season opening series, then they head to Arlington for a 3 game series against the Rangers. I'll be at the Saturday and Sunday games. It will be my first time at Rangers Ballpark / Ameriquest field. Should be exciting.

Opening day is always exciting...everyone's optimistic for the season, happy that we have a promising team to root for, at least for the next several months. This is especially exciting this year, because Boston's winter teams provided us with an epic display of sucking for the past 6 months.

I heard Jordan's Furniture is having a promotion: Buy some furniture before April 15th, and if the Sox win the world series, you get all your money back. Free furniture. Vegas has the sox at 12:1 right now. I don't know whether to go buy a couch or throw a few hundred on some futures action. Either way, I like my chances.
